Despega con Henko It is a non-profit association based in Barcelona, created in 2024 with the aim of promoting cultural, educational, and social projects with a feminist, community-based, and intersectional perspective.

Main objectives

• Promote cultural creation with social impact.

• Foster the empowerment of vulnerable groups, especially women and LGTBIQ+ individuals.

• Develop spaces for transformative education and community action.

• Promote collaboration networks between artists, activists, professionals, and like-minded organizations.

Main activities

• Production and dissemination of audiovisual, stage, and editorial projects.

• Development of workshops, training, and collective creation spaces.

• Strategic support for initiatives with shared values.

• Participation in local and international calls related to culture and the solidarity economy.

Internal organization

• Sovereign body: General Assembly.

• Executive body: Board of Directors (currently composed of 3 members).

• Strategic decisions are made by consensus or simple majority in quarterly assemblies.

• The association is governed by the principles of transparency, dignified work, intercooperation, and sustainability.

Funding

• The association is funded through services, its own projects, voluntary contributions, and grants.

• There is an active social fund built from billing and initial unpaid work.
